Job Description
Manfred Kriechbaum works in the SAXS field, especially on time-resolved SAXS experiments. By time-resolved X-ray diffraction experiments he is studying the barotropic phase-transitions in model membranes induced by rapid pressure-jumps. Together with Milos Steinhart from the IMC Prague he has developed a compact high-pressure SWAX cell. Furthermore he uses time-resolved SAXS to elucidate the conformational-structural changes of proteins in solutions induced by adding various substrates or induced by denaturations (e.g. by temperature, high pressure or denaturating media). He also collaborates in the EUROSAXS project and the IBN-Elettra Group. |
